Julie Rentz, M.A., BCBA
Behavioral Program Director
Julie started working in ABA since 2017, supporting individuals with skills to prepare for jobs and daily living skills. From this experience, she found interest in supporting early intervention in home, center based, and community settings. After earning her Master’s degree from Ball State University, she acquired her certification in Behavior Analysis in 2022. In this role, Julie was able to collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and Developmental Pediatricians, allowing her to explore behaviors through a multidisciplinary lens.
Through those experiences, Julie discovered a passion for naturalistic approaches to ABA and pursued her Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) certification, which she earned in 2025. The pieces of ESDM that Julie truly loves is taking mundane tasks and teaching children that they can be motivating, fun, and empowering to do independently. Julie was then able to support training center staff on using these principles, with a strong focus on caregiver collaboration to ensure therapy is meaningful and applicable in everyday life.
A large focus of Julie’s career is to continuously identify what is the most ethical and valuable approach to therapy so learners feel safe and supported to learn the most significant skills. Julie believes it is critical to continuously reflect on approaches and collaborate as a team with all people in the children's life that can aid in developmental growth.
Outside of work, Julie loves exploring new music, food, and places. She collects records and finds joy in discovering other cultures through what people eat and listen to. She also loves bringing her dog, Frank, along for road trips, kayaking adventures, and hikes. Julie comes from a rugby family and enjoys going to games as well.
