Amber Avila, M.A.
Behavioral Program Manager
Amber graduated with an M.A. in Special Education - Applied Behavior Analysis in 2024 from Arizona State University and is currently working towards her BCBA certification. She has over ten years of experience in special education, specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and has provided behavior therapy as registered behavior technician for several years. She has work experience in the clinical setting along with in-home services, and with providing behavior support in the school environment.
She is dedicated to utilizing her skills to guide children in a more holistic manner in the areas of education and developing communication skills, and Amber strives to introduce more opportunities to practice self-regulation, perspective-taking, and flexibility in daily life.
One of her favorite parts about the field is building rapport with her clients, as FUN is her superpower. Naturalistic teaching is extremely important to her and she believes in prioritizing it during service implementation. Amber is passionate about working with clients of all ages but has a soft spot for providing early intervention services, specifically to establish functional communication skills among minimally verbal clients.
During her free time, Amber loves to read, watch films, and spend time outdoors with her loved ones.
