Jena Epperson, B.S.
Behavioral Program Manager
Jena received her Bachelor’s of Science from Humboldt State University in 2014; majoring in wildlife conservation and management while also receiving her minor in philosophy. She always had a passion for understanding the scientific nature behind phylogenetic (genetic) behavior and the philosophical implications that drive ontogenetic (learned) behavior patterns. In 2023 she found herself working in the field of applied behavior analysis. She worked one-on-one with children ranging from ages 2 to 13 in various settings such as schools, homes, daycares, community locations, and clinics. She fell in love with the science of ABA and the philosophy of compassionate care. Her ability to support children through play is her favorite part of working in this field; she loves being active and making kids laugh through fun pretend play and games. Experiencing the growth her kids exhibited after each session was extremely rewarding for her and filled her with joy every day. The field of ABA has gifted her with so much more than a career path. It has granted her the invaluable wisdom that life is all about living in the moment, treating others with kindness, and embracing who you are. Her passion for aiding families and children drove her to go back to school and further expand her knowledge on such an altruistic field. She is currently attending Arizona State University online to gain her MA in special education with an emphasis in ABA.
In her free time she likes to hang out with her partner and go on exciting adventures outdoors, play with her two adorable cats, play fun video games, read fantasy or science fiction novels, and cook healthy delicious meals.
