April Beale, M.S., BCBA
Behavioral Program Director
April is excited to be a part of Joyscape. Born and raised in San Jose, California, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. After college, April started working as a Registered Behavioral Technician, supporting children aged 3–16 in their homes. She became a Behavior Specialist, earning her Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis at National University. Since then, April has worked in home, school, and clinic settings since 2020, with children aged 3-21. Asking questions is April's favorite part of work as it helps her understand a child’s boundary, thought process, and preferences. April uses this to cultivate a nurturing environment, supporting independence, advocacy, and social skills.
Outside of work, April enjoys baking, hiking, and playing board games with friends and family.
